10 Reasons to Watch Chromia in 2021

Greetings again Chromians,

2021 is already in full swing, and it is shaping up to be a banner year for ChromaWay, Chromia, and the cryptocurrency market as a whole. Here is an article to get you up to speed, and looking forward to everything we have in store for the rest of the year.  Enjoy!

  1. Chromia Originals NFT Standard
NFTs are hot property this year, and Chromia is throwing its hat into the ring in a big way with Chromia Originals.  This NFT standard is designed to complement all of the games running on the Chromia blockchain in unique and exciting ways never seen before.  Check out the detailed article here: http://bit.ly/2Z5GeIg.

  2. Layer 2 Solutions for Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum
Development is ongoing as we build out several ways for the Chromia blockchain to enhance the capabilities of Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum. For example, NFTs on BSC is already being linked to additional metadata on the Chromia blockchain. As the year progresses, we intend to enable decentralized data storage and token bridges to expand the use cases of Chromia as a Layer-2 solution. Check out the Originals Beta release article for more information.

  3. Autonomous Mainnet (Native CHR, Native tokens on Chromia Blockchain)
While 2020 was a year of great progress for Chromia, there were also some notable delays - the most significant of which was pushing back the autonomous mainnet delivery to 2021. This year, the wait will be over as the mainnet will become fully functional.  This means that the ERC20 version of the CHR token will be convertible to Native CHR over a token bridge, and Dapps will be able to launch with tokens that run entirely on the Chromia blockchain. Developers can also choose a dual chain token setup similar to how CHR will exist in both ERC20 and Chromia FT3 (Flexible Token v3 standard) forms. Check out the technical roadmap here!

  4. Increasing Government Involvement
Chromia’s mother company is ChromaWay AB. Having an open-source public blockchain with the ability to run private sidechains on the same tech stack offers us distinct advantages. Our flexible solution allows us to form relationships with the widest client base possible. For example, we have provided consultation to a committee reporting on blockchain’s potential use in government record-keeping in Sweden. You can view this article here: http://bit.ly/2MbmOyZ.

  5. Increasing Land Registry Adoption
ChromaWay has been involved in several land registry pilot programs, which are rapidly moving towards becoming fully realized applications. We have multiple land registry projects ongoing, including https://www.lacpropertychain.com/ and collaboration with Lantmateriet, the Swedish land registry authority.

  6. Huge Growth in the Blockchain Gaming Sector
Chromia is a proud member of the BGA (Blockchain Gaming Alliance). It should come as no surprise that Chromia Studios and Antler Interactive (the gaming studio owned by ChromaWay) are ready to pump out new products and updates all year long. Betas launched in 2020, such as Krystopia: Nova’s Journey and Mines of Dalarnia, will be getting full releases with Chromia blockchain integration. Exciting new games like My Neighbor Alice will deliver fresh experiences. What’s more, is that all of these games will benefit from the release of Chromia Originals NFTs. Soon users will not just carry items in games, they will own them on the blockchain!

  7. Market Development in 2020
2020 was a very important year for the long-term viability of CHR, the native currency of the Chromia blockchain. Through the efforts of both our team and our community, we were able to secure listings on several major exchanges including Binance, Huobi, and Upbit. As a result of this, Chromia has grown greatly in both trading volume and liquidity. As of late 2020, we have completed all distribution of tokens from the IEO including all private investors and bonuses. Moving into 2021, the CHR token is now well-positioned to function as the backbone of the growing ecosystem of applications.

  8. Hedget and other Defi Applications
Speaking of applications, our first Chromia incubated project, Hedget, is well on its way to becoming a key player in the DeFi space. Hedget has made the strategic move to integrate with Binance Smart Chain but is still on track to integrate Chromia as a Layer-2 scaling solution for its Ethereum implementation. The Chromia and Hedget teams enjoy a close working relationship, and we can’t wait to see how they leverage the unique abilities of Chromia to power their platform.

  9. ChromaWay AB is Growing Rapidly
The success of Chromia’s mother company has several beneficial effects on the public chain.  We are happy to report ChromaWay was named the fastest-growing tech company in Sweden in 2020 by Deloitte. As ChromaWay collaborates with more enterprises, awareness of our technology and the value of open-source public chains is growing. This is truly a case of win-win, as anything that benefits the company benefits the chain and vice versa.

  10. Past Infancy/IEO Stage
The most uncertain times for a new blockchain project and token are the developmental stages between the hype of an IEO and the realization of a useful product.  It has been a long and sometimes difficult journey, but we are confident that all of the development on both the technical and business sides will come together over the course of the year. We are excited to deliver upon our vision and flourish in the latter half of 2021 and beyond.

On top of that, we also have a lot of other things going on. Stay tuned to hear the latest updates in the world of Chromia.
