ColorPool Onboarding Guide

ColorPool Onboarding Guide

This is a ‘living document’ and may be changed over time to reflect the most up to date information.

This guide is provided for reference only. Users are ultimately responsible for the custody and management of their on-chain assets, and are encouraged to start with smaller amounts if they are uncertain about any part of the process.

For additional information, users may also refer to ColorPool’s Official Documentation.

Understanding Chromia’s Mainnet Structure

Chromia Mainnet uses a ‘one chain per dapp’ design. The ColorPool DEX operates on the ‘ColorPool DEX Chain’, so the assets you want to use on the DEX must be on this chain.

This diagram helps visualize the flow of assets:

Bridge Processing Times

  • Deposits from Ethereum and BNB Chain to Chromia Mainnet are typically completed in about 5 minutes.
  • Withdrawals of assets from Chromia Mainnet back to Ethereum and BNB Chain are subject to a 72-hour confirmation period. This delay is a security measure designed to protect user funds.
  • Transfers from one chain to another on Chromia Mainnet are immediate.

Sending USDC to ColorPool

  1. Transfer BEP-20 USDC from BNB Chain to the ColorPool Bridge Chain by using the ColorPool Bridge
  2. Use the Vault Transfer Page to move your USDC from the ColorPool Bridge Chain to the ColorPool DEX Chain.

These steps can be performed in reverse to return your USDC to BNB Chain.

Sending CHR to ColorPool

  1. Use the Vault Deposit Page to bridge ERC-20 CHR or BEP-20 CHR to Chromia Economy Chain.
  2. Use the Vault Transfer Page to move your CHR from Chromia Economy Chain to the ColorPool DEX Chain.

If you already have CHR on Economy Chain, you can skip step 1.

These steps can be performed in reverse to return your CHR to the Economy Chain, and bridged back to Ethereum or BNB Chain using the Vault Withdraw Page

ColorPool Account Creation Fee

To use the DEX, users must create an account on the ColorPool DEX Chain by paying a one-time account creation fee.

  • If you transfer USDC from the ColorPool Bridge Chain, a 2 USDC fee is deducted automatically.
  • If you transfer CHR from the Economy Chain, a 10 CHR fee is deducted automatically.
  • The fee is only collected once per account. Future transfers of USDC or CHR to the same account are not affected.
  • It is also possible to create an account using 10,000 COLOR. This would typically be done by receiving COLOR from an existing account.
  • Some users qualified for a COLOR airdrop as a result of staking CHR or playing ColorPool’s Brush game prior to launch. If your airdrop receivable amount is 10k or greater, you can use 10k of the outstanding amount to pay the creation fee. Airdrop amounts can be checked here: https://shorturl.at/zbxxT.

ColorPool Credit System

Once you have created an account on ColorPool, you can trade without gas fees using ColorPool’s credit system. Credits are used for on-chain actions like trading, adding liquidity, or claiming rewards. Each action consumes a fixed amount, and users receive a daily credit allocation.
