December 2025 Monthly Update
Welcome to the December monthly update! We hope everyone is having a happy and healthy holiday season. This update closes out Q4 and begins laying the groundwork for the work ahead in the new year.
Several Q4 objectives have been completed, bringing new functionality to the network. Other initiatives made strong progress but require additional work before mainnet deployment and will continue into Q1.
Objectives Completed
Base and Arbitrum Integration
The Base integration was completed in early December and is already in active use, with the EVAL token now bridgeable through Chromia Vault and trading on ColorPool. Backend support for Arbitrum has also been completed, putting the necessary infrastructure in place for teams that may choose to build and integrate with it in the future.
Extensions SDK and Marketplace
The Extensions SDK is now complete, with documentation and code templates available to support development. Extensions are added during deployment through existing CLI tooling, allowing deployers to select from a list of approved options and manage both first party and third party Extensions in a consistent way.
ChromBot R&D
During Q4, we participated in ideation and discussions with potential partners in the robotics space. We plan to continue advancing our Robotics initiatives in the new year.
Dynamic Fee Sharing
Dynamic fee sharing is now live. Network providers can specify the percentage of fees they wish to share with delegates, turning provider selection into a clearer economic decision. These changes are reflected on the updated staking page in Chromia Vault.
AI Inference Extension V2
The second version of the AI Inference Extension has been completed, along with a public testnet demonstration. The demo shows GPU powered inference running on Chromia Testnet and serves as a concrete example of how AI workloads can be executed within the network.

VectorDB as a Service
VectorDB as a Service is now being tested internally with Chromia developers, and partners. Over time, this offering will expand with additional services and play a role in a broader data and AI strategy planned for 2026.
Objectives Extended to Q1
Chromia Governance
Chromia Governance is currently deployed on Testnet, where it is being evaluated and refined. Work is underway to establish proposal templates and best practices, ensuring a consistent and reliable experience on mainnet. Mainnet deployment is being rescheduled to Q1 2026 to allow time for these refinements and alignment with long term network goals.
Mainnet AI Cluster
The recent AI Inference demo confirms support for GPU enabled nodes on Chromia Testnet. Deployment of a mainnet AI cluster is now planned for Q1 2026. This adjustment reflects the need for further coordination around infrastructure, operational readiness, and long term sustainability.
The Big Picture for Q1 2026
The first quarter of 2026 will focus on completing the extended development goals and building a coordinated approach across several data and AI initiatives. As these areas continue to grow in importance, we are working to expand Chromia’s capabilities to support more sophisticated applications. At the same time, we are collaborating with new partners to align efforts, share expertise, and grow the ecosystem. These efforts are an essential part of our long term direction, ensuring we are positioned to support innovative projects and evolving developer needs.
