What is EVAL Engine?
EVAL Engine, designed by Chromia’s Data and AI division, is a powerful suite of tools built on Chromia’s blockchain. It provides a transparent and reliable way to evaluate AI agents, ensuring quality and accountability in an ever-expanding landscape of AI-generated content. The platform launches with two key features: a Screening Tool and the Performance Tracking Tool.
The Screening Tool evaluates AI-generated content based on four metrics (truth, accuracy, creativity, and engagement) and generates an objective score of an agent's performance.
The Performance Tracking Tool monitors an agent’s output over time, offering insights into long-term performance trends. It can be used to detect potential degradation in their agents’ quality and make improvements as needed.
For AI agent designers, EVAL Engine offers critical insights into the long-term performance of their agents. By monitoring outputs over time, designers can quickly detect any degradation in performance and take corrective actions to ensure their agents maintain high standards. It can also be used as an objective test of quality, akin to a trust score, and presented to market participants as a sign of quality.
For market participants, EVAL Engine allows users to assess the performance of AI agents before investing in their associated assets, leading to more informed decisions.
The $EVAL Token
The release of EVAL Engine will be accompanied by the launch of the $EVAL token, deployed on the Base blockchain via the Virtuals Protocol. Initially launched as an ERC-20 token, $EVAL will capture the value generated by interest in, and usage of, the platform.
$EVAL tokens will be airdropped to native $CHR stakers and selected Virtuals ecosystem holders, rewarding participants within both ecosystems.
There will be a snapshot of native $CHR stakers on Monday, January 27th at 9:00 AM UTC. Native $CHR stakers will be airdropped $EVAL on Base. These tokens will be airdropped to the EVM address that your Chromia account was derived from.
There are also tentative plans to airdrop additional $EVAL tokens in FT4 format to native $CHR stakers on Chromia mainnet once Colorpool’s AMM decentralized spot exchange goes live.
EVAL Engine’s Go-to-Market Strategy
EVAL Engine will initially be available as a free-to-try demo for users with a registered account on Chromia.. This early access model will allow users to experience the platform's capabilities firsthand while increasing awareness and adoption of Chromia.
As the platform evolves, it will adopt a subscription based model using an FT4 version of the $EVAL token. This will be phased in after the completion of a Chromia-Base token bridge which will allow $EVAL tokens to be transferred from one blockchain to the other.
