October 2025 Monthly Update

October 2025 Monthly Update

The fourth quarter is underway! Chromia has a lot going on, and there’s a lot to catch up on. Let’s go!

New Roadmap is Live

www.chromia.com/roadmap

On October 7th, we rolled out our Q4 roadmap update. Key highlights include continued progress in blockchain-enabled AI, with the launch of a dedicated GPU cluster and ongoing development of ChromBot.

We're also preparing the first version of Chromia Governance, introducing Dynamic Fee Sharing, and beginning the phase-out of EVM staking.

For full details, check out the blog post here: Chromia in Q4 2025: Supercharging AI, Establishing Governance, and Advancing Extensions

EVM Staking Phase Out

Of particular importance to our stakers on Ethereum and Binance Chain, we are phasing out EVM staking rewards using the following schedule.

December 2, 2025 – APR reduced to 2% + reward share

February 3, 2026 – APR reduced to 1% + reward share

April 1, 2026 – APR reduced to 0% and discontinuation of reward share

Mainnet stakers will continue to receive 3% APR. The primary reasons for this change are to encourage mainnet adoption, increase network TVL and build up the voting base for governance activities. Read more on this topic here:

Chromia Governance

We’re developing the first version of our governance module, which will allow the community to nominate new providers, propose grants, and vote on nominations and proposals made by others. Read more about the upcoming Chromia Governance module in our recent blog article:

Chromia Governance is Coming in Q4: What You Need to Know

AI Cluster with GPU Support

In Q4, we plan to launch a specialized mainnet cluster with GPU support for distributed computation. This addition unlocks the ability to run more advanced LLMs and high-performance models, powering AI applications, robotics, and beyond. In short, it’s a new tool that makes more possible on-chain.

VectorDB as a Service

While our existing VectorDB Extension is technically advanced, onboarding today involves significant setup. Mainstream adoption requires simplicity. Our goal is to abstract away this complexity and deliver a ‘one-click’ solution similar to products like Supabase and Weaviate while offering on-chain transparency.

ChromBot Research and Development

After a successful Q3 2025 pilot, ChromBot is returning to development for its next round of upgrades. Our focus is on expanding its functionality and performance while integrating Chromia’s upcoming infrastructure improvements to deliver the most engaging product possible.

Base and Arbitrum Integration

Chromia is already interoperable with Ethereum and Binance Chain through our Ethereum Interoperability Framework (EIF). This quarter, we’re extending that functionality to include the Base and Arbitrum networks. These additions will provide immediate benefits for existing ecosystem projects while opening the door for a wider range of projects and builders to integrate with Chromia in the long term.

Extensions SDK and Marketplace

A handful of Extensions (Oracle, VectorDB, AI Inference, ZKP) have already been developed and are available for use by Chromia dapps. Our next goal is to provide documentation that will help developers build their own Extensions and create a marketplace where they can be listed by their creators and adopted by other dapps in a streamlined fashion.

Gate Integrates Native CHR

We are pleased to announce that Gate, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has integrated Chromia mainnet and now supports native CHR deposits and withdrawals.

Gate joins Binance, BitMart, and MEXC as exchanges with mainnet support.

400k Buyback

October was an eventful month in the markets, with crypto seeing some significant volatility.

Chromia has been around for a long time and is no stranger to this volatility (for better and worse!). Keen observers may have noticed that Chromia carried out a 400k USD buyback of CHR tokens, referenced in this X post by Chromia’s Head of BD

The message is clear: we’re here for the long haul and confident in Chromia’s ability to build, adapt, and succeed.

Chromia Vault Updates and Onboarding Guide

Chromia Vault is our official wallet and dapp explorer. Earlier this month, the Vault team pushed a significant update to the user interface that made it easier and more intuitive to onboard to mainnet join the Chromia ecosystem. This update was accompanied by a new Chromia Mainnet Onboarding Guide.

Looking Ahead

We are hard at work behind the scenes and anticipate announcements of key developments in both November and December. As always, follow all of our official channels for the latest!
