Yesterday marked the participation deadline for the QuestNet portion of the Incentivized Testnet Program.
This article will share some statistics from QuestNet, and explain the methodology that we will use to determine and distribute QuestNet rewards.
QuestNet Metrics
- The QuestNet dapp cluster processed over 3 million transactions.
- Over 1200 accounts achieved a 100% quest completion rate.
- Over 3500 accounts completed at least one quest objective.
Prize Pool Allocation
The QuestNet prize pool consists of 100,000 CHR. The pool will be split into 200 prizes of 500 CHR each.
(75) winners will be selected from the pool of accounts that achieved a 100% completion rate.
(75) winners will be selected from the pool of accounts that achieved an 89%+ completion rate (at least 43 out of 48 quests completed)
(50) winners will be selected from the pool of accounts that completed at least one quest. The higher the completion rate, the more likely an address is to be selected.
Completion rates are determined using chain data collected at the end of Monday September 2nd. Quests completed after the deadline will not affect the probabilities used in the lotteries.
An account cannot be selected more than once, so the winner’s list will consist of exactly 200 distinct addresses, each of which will receive 500 CHR each.
A Note on Prizes
There is no way to design a prize model that can please everyone. Our model took into account the following priorities:
- Preferential treatment should be given to users with the most consistent engagement.
- Any participating address should have some chance to win.
- Individual prizes should be large enough to feel significant.
Thank you to all of our participants for contributing to the testing process. We extend our congratulations if you are one of the lucky winners, and our condolences if you came up empty handed.
Timeline for Announcement and Distribution of Rewards
We will complete the process of drawing winners, publishing the winner’s list, and distributing prizes on the Chromia mainnet by the end of September.
Incentivized Testing Program Conclusion
Our Incentivized Testing Program has now come to a close. Here is a summary of the results:
HackNet concluded in June and awarded 16,000 CHR in rewards.
ProjectNet winners were announced last week. Rakein collected 20,000 CHR for first prize, Chronnect collected 16,000 CHR for second prize, and Chromify pulled in 14,000 CHR for third prize.
QuestNet generated millions of transactions, and will award 100,000 CHR based on the guidelines shared above. Prizes will be determined and distributed by the end of this month.
We would like to once again thank everyone who participated in any of our testing programs. Keep an eye out for more initiatives in the future!
