Today, we’re excited to share that we’ve reached another milestone in our roadmap! The development, testing, and implementation of key enhancements to Chromia’s bridge code are now complete. This upgrade sets the stage for increased Total Value Locked (TVL) and expanded asset support on Chromia’s mainnet.
The Importance of TVL
TVL, or Total Value Locked, measures the total value of assets within a dapp, protocol, or blockchain and serves as a key indicator of ecosystem health. Growth in TVL reflects user confidence, active participation, and the overall maturity of the platform. High TVL attracts more projects and users, further driving innovation and engagement within the ecosystem.
With this bridge enhancement, we’ve laid the groundwork to bring major assets such as stablecoins, tokenized Bitcoin, tokenized Ethereum, and more to Chromia’s mainnet. The upgrade enhances both ease of integration and security, making it simpler for developers to add and manage these assets within their applications. While it may take time to see the full impact, this advancement significantly strengthens Chromia’s utility and supports our commitment to long-term growth.
Cooperation with Quantstamp
Chromia is dedicated to quality assurance and continuous improvement, which is why we chose Quantstamp, a global leader in blockchain security, to conduct a thorough audit of our new bridge functions. Since its founding in 2017, Quantstamp has safeguarded billions of dollars in digital assets and collaborated with prominent names in the Web3 space, making them an ideal partner.
Our relationship with Quantstamp is built on trust and results. They previously audited our core bridge functions and the FT4 Token Protocol, delivering detailed insights and providing valuable recommendations. The new bridge functions underwent rigorous review, assuring our community that these enhancements will be secure and reliable.
