September 2025 Monthly Update

September 2025 Monthly Update

The last three months have been very productive, with the majority of our Q3 development goals achieved.

It’s the end of the quarter, so it’s time to put a bow on things before moving into the next phase. An additional update is coming next week, along with a roadmap refresh that will set new directions and priorities for Chromia as we move toward 2026.

VectorDB Langchain Integration

Our latest development connects Chromia’s VectorDB Extension with LangChain, one of the most widely used frameworks for building AI agents and applications. The integration is publicly available here:

With this package, AI developers can now select Chromia as their vector database provider and gain the benefits of decentralization, transparency, and verifiability. It’s another step in putting our technology into the hands of more builders.

You can read more about the VectorDB Extension and our future plans in this article:

Binance Integration and Go Client for FT4

In early September, Binance announced the completion of Chromia’s mainnet and native CHR integration. Users can now deposit and withdraw CHR to and from Binance directly through their Economy Chain account using Chromia Vault.

The development of the FT4 Go Client was key to enabling this integration and was another Q3 milestone successfully completed. The code and documentation are publicly available here:

Physical AI Pilot

YJ, Johnson Lai, and the Data and AI Division showcased ChromBot, our AI and blockchain-enabled robot, at meetups in Seoul and Hangzhou this July. Attendees had the chance to experience ChromBot firsthand. You can read more in the dedicated ChromBot blog:

The end of Q3 marks the close of a successful pilot phase. ChromBot demonstrated its potential, sparked interest, and provided valuable insights. The team will now move forward and develop the ChromBot concept further. Stay tuned for future updates as this initiative evolves.

AI Inference Extension Testnet Demo

The AI Inference Extension enables users to submit inputs to AI models and receive outputs, with transaction details recorded on-chain and computation handled by an on-chain node. A Testnet Demo is available here:

The demo runs on CPU computation and SmolLM2. It successfully demonstrates the concept and provides insight into performance, although it is not yet production-ready. Q4 development objectives will continue advancing these capabilities.

CRC2 NFT Standard and EVM Compatible CRC2 Bridge

CRC2 is Chromia’s latest NFT standard, designed to be interoperable with both ERC-721 and ERC-1155 while offering enhancements like metadata expansion, on-chain content storage, and built-in programmability. To learn more about CRC2, check out this blog post from August 2025.
