Powered by Chromia: Get to Know Our Blockchain Gaming Ecosystem

Chromia is a next-generation blockchain that combines the security and decentralization of traditional blockchains with the flexibility and efficiency of relational databases. Through our support for fully on-chain games and true asset ownership, we give developers the capacity to build complex, data-intensive applications with ease, making Chromia an ideal choice for Web3 games.

Chromia's Gaming Ecosystem

Chromia's gaming ecosystem is a dynamic network of games, investments, and strategic partnerships. Let's look at the flagship games and partners that make your gaming experience in Chromia superior:

1. My Neighbor Alice

My Neighbor Alice is an award-winning multiplayer builder and farming game where players purchase and develop virtual islands, engage in farming, fishing, and beekeeping, and customize their avatars.

Recently, the game took a major step forward by migrating its infrastructure to Chromia's Mainnet, fully decentralizing its operations. This migration ensures that all game data and transactions are now processed on-chain. You can read more about the migration announcement here.

Several exciting features have been introduced in Beta Season 2, including the new in-game currency, $BJORN, which players can earn by completing quests and interacting with NPCs. This currency allows players to purchase and customize various in-game assets.

2. Chain of Alliance

Chain of Alliance is a decentralized, turn-based, party-builder RPG that stands as the flagship project within Alliance Games' portfolio on Chromia. Players collect and customize NFT-based characters, assemble teams of fantasy creatures, and engage in strategic PvP and PvE battles.

Chain of Alliance recently made significant progress with the launch of its Beta version on May 7, 2024. This new phase introduces extensive updates aimed at refining the gameplay based on feedback from earlier Alpha testing.

The Beta release has been described as a complete overhaul, with new crafting systems and simplified status effects. Moreover, the game no longer features magical damage, instead focusing on elemental (Fire, Ice, Poison, Lightning) and physical damage types

3. Mines of Dalarnia

Mines of Dalarnia is an action-adventure and mining game that immerses players in procedurally generated mines teeming with resources and challenges. Players use NFT-based tools like pickaxes and drills to extract minerals, upgrade their equipment, and conquer increasingly difficult mining expeditions.

Mines of Dalarnia is gearing up for an exciting phase with its planned migration to Chromia mainnet in Q4 2024. This migration is expected to enhance the gaming experience with smoother gameplay, more efficient mining operations, and significantly lower gas fees. The shift to Chromia’s decentralized infrastructure marks a significant step forward for the game and its community, bringing more opportunities for miners to thrive on-chain

4. Fanzeal

Fanzeal is a collectible-driven game that integrates sports and blockchain technology. Players collect and trade NFT-based cards of athletes, participate in weekly quizzes, and make match predictions to earn rewards.

In partnership with vFb Stuttgart, Fanzeal launched a marketplace that allows players to create and register an account at collectibles.vfb.de using their web3 wallet. Players can engage in the weekly Fanzeal Quiz to earn points, collect five new signings from the season for a chance to win signed jerseys at Fanzeal Collection, and participate in match predictions to maximize their rewards.

5. Xoob

Xoob (Xoob.gg) is a dynamic quest platform that combines mini-games, NFT mechanics, and reward systems, designed to enhance player engagement in the Web3 space. Originally known as LaunchJoy, the platform rebranded to Xoob as it expanded its offerings. Xoob allows users to participate in quests and earn unique NFTs, which they can trade or utilize within the ecosystem. The platform encourages continuous interaction through daily rewards, in-game challenges, and seasonal events.

In September 2024, Xoob integrated with Chromia's mainnet, significantly improving scalability, transaction security, and user experience. With new features like Xoob XPedition, a five-week quest season, and ongoing engagement initiatives, the platform continues to attract a growing user base, supported by $1.6 million in funding from key partners like Chromia, Mines of Dalarnia, and My Neighbor Alice.

6. Cloudborn

Cloudborn is a strategic online game built on Chromia in the development stage that blends elements of resource management and tactical gameplay. Players engage in building and defending their cloud kingdoms, managing resources, and battling adversaries.

Gaming Investments: RSTLSS, and More

Chromia demonstrates its commitment to innovation in the gaming sector through strategic investments in promising projects. Providing not only financial support but also contributing valuable expertise and resources to emerging games.

RSTLSS

RSTLSS is a virtual avatar platform focused on creating interoperable digital fashion for avatars in virtual worlds and metaverses. It allows users to design, trade, and wear unique digital outfits and items for their virtual identities across different platforms.

Chromia gamers will now have even more control and opportunities to express their creativity, bringing customizable items to the Chromia community, through a partnership inked last February.
